Several months ago, on our return trip from Florida to New Mexico, we had the pleasure of travelling I-10 thru Louisiana. For those of you who have travelled this fine roadway, know what I'm talking about. Well during that fine strip of pavement, we were bopping along at a moderate 60mph, when the pavement seem to just drop out from under us, (very bad area in the road) with no warning. We almost lost control (it was that bad) and shook us up pretty good. We regained our composure and pressed on to our days destination. Upon setting up for the night, we found that bump in the road had destroyed all the shelves in our rear entertainment center, luckily the TV is mounted well, so it survived. I had taken all the shelves down and moved the stereo equipment to another area and just left it at that, until the other day when the mood struck to rebuild. Of course the story would have been more dramatic with a before picture, but I just started the rebuild and forgot all about it. So after a Home Depot trip and an hour or so of wood cutting and framing we are better than new. It's nice to have the rig looking normal again.
After working up an appetite, we headed over to visit Josh and Kaileigh and decided Pizza was in order. They brought up the normal chain pizza places (not that there bad) but I asked if there was a good local pizza place around. Well, that triggered there mind and they remembered a great little place just south of town in Norman, OK. The plan was set and off we went and a bit later we arrived at the Pizza Shuttle. This is definitely a local place in a college town, the food was great and the prices were right, can't beat that. Again I was a day late and a dollar short on pictures as we had the pizza almost devoured before I remember to get a shot of it, that's how good it looked and was.
It was a nice day and we gave thought to eating out on the patio, until we noticed the accommodations, thought better of it and ate inside at a more sturdy table. Local places have there own atmostsphere and that's why we like them so much.
Another day down, looks like we'll be taking a side trip to Kansas and the family farm later next week, before heading down towards Dallas next month. So that was our day, it's great spending time with the kids, but will be time to move on soon. Take Care and we'll see you back here again!!!

That must've been some chunk of road you were on! Good that you were able to restore your E/C to better than before.
We always prefer local pizza places over chains too. We really miss a couple that we used to frequent in the last town we lived in.
I'm not sure that some places on I-10 qualify to be called a road!
